Human Resources Advisor Full Time 1 Year Term Position Out of Scope
Competition#: MCFSA-HRA-2023.002 Hours of Work: 7.5 hours per day (8:30am \xe2\x80\x93 4:30pm Monday to Friday) Classification and Salary: P3 Scale Starting at $59,576 Vacation: Four weeks in addition to three wellness days per year Location: Hybrid in Winnipeg, MB
POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Advisor is responsible for providing a broad array of administrative support such as developing and implementing policies, programs, and procedures regarding human resource planning, recruitment, collective bargaining, training and development, and occupation classification. The Human Resources Advisor will take part in conducting workplace investigations and provide support in handling workplace complaints and grievances. In addition, the Human Resources Advisor is responsible for developing and coordinating employment programs, salary compensation and job evaluations, promotions, and education and training programs. Other duties consist of administering Collective Agreements, ensuring compliance with legislated requirements, and communicating and clarifying policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate for this role will have completed Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Labour Relations, and/or Employment Law, and have two or more years of experience working within a human resources department, preferably within a unionized environment. Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation (CPHR) is preferred. Knowledge in Policy Development, Performance Management, Recruitment and Section, Investigations, Benefit Administrations, and Training and Development, building relationships, and possessing superior communication skills. Working knowledge Workplace Safety and Health Act and Worker\xe2\x80\x99s Compensation Legislation. Knowledge/experience in Child and Family Services will be considered an asset.
