Who We Are The Human Resources Administrative Services Team supports employees throughout their entire life-cycle at Simon Fraser University. The team is responsible for posting jobs, onboarding, personnel changes, benefits, offboarding, and advising employees on the many facets of employment with the university. This team provides professional, approachable, and accurate support to staff members across multiple employee groups by keeping the people experience at the forefront of all that we do. About the Role The Human Resources Administrative Assistant is responsible for all vacancy postings for non-academic positions, supporting applicants and hiring managers throughout the application process by troubleshooting issues within Taleo and escalating issues to the appropriate HR Specialist as appropriate. The role maintains and administers access to Taleo, verifying SINs of new employees, and ensuring proper authorization is received for any information requests. The Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact for clients via telephone, e-mail, or in-person, facilitating a positive experience by ensuring a smooth and professional process when responding to employee questions and providing routine information regarding all Human Resources services. The HR Administrative Assistant maintains competition statistics, filing systems, and Human Resources forms; and administers standard clerical skills tests to applicable applicants as required. The Human Resources Administrative Services Team is seeking someone with experience delivering a positive client experience while meeting administrative deadlines. This person should be capable of working independently with frequent interruptions. They should have experience in receptionist duties including triaging phone calls, welcoming clients, and general office duties.
