Job Description

The Research and Productivity Council (RPC) is New Brunswick's provincial research organization, a research & technology organization that offers analytical and applied research services. In business since 1962, we serve over 1000 clients annually from our locations in Fredericton and Moncton, NB. We are recruiting to fill a position for a Human Resource Generalist. This position will be located at our (Fredericton) location and will report to RPC's CEO.

POSITION DESCRIPTION



As a Human Resources Generalist, you will provide front-line Human Resources service and support in the areas of recruitment, staffing, employee relations, professional development, job evaluation, accommodation and disability matters, legislative compliance, employee recognition and rewards, and performance management. You will consult with and provide support to senior management, business unit managers, and employees. You will provide guidance, functional advice, interpretation, coaching and support with respect to human resources issues, programs and projects. Dispute resolution and involvement in employee matters including potential legal implications, policy, procedures, issues and assistance in the formulation of responses and recommended actions are also integral to this role. In conjunction with the CEO, you will plan, develop and design Human Resources programs and project plans.

REQUIREMENTS:



University degree; Human Resources Management, Business Administration. Minimum of 5 years of previous related experience as a Human Resources Generalist. Proven employee and labour relations skills, including management of sensitive employee situations, leading to successful results that support organizational goals. Proven success in delivering on multiple priorities, conflicting deadlines and program initiatives. Familiar with employment law and capable of providing information and support with respect to employment obligations and legislative compliance. Exceptional interpersonal and conflict management skills. Exceptional oral communication skills and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office. Success in delivering Health & Wellness initiatives. Previous experience working with confidential information, maintaining employee privacy and setting a standard for privacy in the workplace.

THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE CONSIDERED ASSETS:



Previous Human Resources experience in a not-for-profit organization. Knowledge of ADP, Business Central, Canada Life portal Canadian Practitioner in Human Resources designation or candidate preferred. Bilingual (French/English)
This is a full-time, on-site position. Hours of work are 8:15 to 4:30 Monday thru Friday. Compensation to be commensurate with education and experience.
