As a key player of the management team in Don Mills, the Human Capital Business Partner:

  • Contributes to and rolls out the HC strategic action plan for the site;

  • Acts as a change agent with the site managers under their responsibility by recommending the appropriate actions aimed at the proactive management of Human Capital;

  • Advises managers with respect to practices, policies and company procedures for the proactive management of human resources while ensuring judicious application;

  • Participates and coordinates the grievance follow-up process and settlement;

  • Interprets legal texts and regulations by identifying their impacts and communicates and monitors them;

  • Participates in collective agreements bargaining;

  • Collaborates in continuous improvement processes around human resources management;

  • Participates and coordinates organizational development and activities related to the working climate;

  • Acts as a change agent in the implementation of a positive health and safety culture;

  • Involved in the H&S committees as well as the implementation and compliance of H&S procedures, standards and regulations;

  • Ensures that workplace accidents are handled appropriately and makes the final decision on return to work;

  • Participates in organizational development, recruitment, performance management and succession development activities;

  • Acts as an agent of change influencing the ways of doing business and in relation to human resources.

What we are looking for :

  • You have a Bachelor Degree in HR Management or in a relevant field;

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Generalist or relevant experience;

  • Worked in a medium or large unionized manufacturing organization (an asset);

  • Sound command of labour laws and regulations;

  • You are a strong team player and able to make decisions;

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills;

  • French language knowledge (an asset);

  • Certified HR professional (an asset).
