Overview:

As the HSE & Transportation Compliance Manager, you will lead and oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety policies and procedures. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for all employees.

Duties:

Including but not limited to;

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and programs aligned with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide health and safety support, expertise and lead the Joint Worksite Health and Safety Committee in the execution of committee legislated duties. Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and implement corrective measures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver health and safety training programs and campaigns to promote a culture of safety. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, analyzing root causes and developing strategies for preventing recurrence. Assist with onboarding processes including orientation training for all new employees, visitors and contractors. Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, trends, and compliance levels, providing recommendations for continuous improvement. Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and maintaining positive relationships. Understand and lead the COR internal audit process and host the External Auditors (Energy Safety Canada COR Certification and auditing experience is an advantage) in completing scheduled audits.

Qualifications:



Post secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Certification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, OSHA certification) is preferred. Experience in the transportation industry with an understanding of driving regulations, electronic driving logs and hours of service rules required. Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in HSE management systems and software.
