Mission

With great autonomy and under the supervision of the Health, Safety and Environment Technician, the incumbent will take charge of the administration of the health and safety management system across Western Canada, Ontario, and Newfoundland Labrador. The responsible person will have a positive impact by supporting the users and the HSE team. Being very organized, they will set up and carry out administrative functions. They will be involved in supporting the maintenance of our health and safety management system.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide initial guidance to staff who contact OH&S via Teams or email with questions and concerns.
  • Book appointments and schedule meetings and room bookings.
  • Support PPE management and ordering
  • Manage OH&S filing system and storage of records for appropriate retention period.
  • Assist with preparing presentations, including formatting, branding, and editing.
  • Prepare statistics and provide corporate indicators.
Profile
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in office administration or a related field
  • Three to five years' experience performing similar or related duties
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment is an asset
  • Highly motivated in learning and developing new skills related to Health, Safety and Environment
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in English (mandatory) and functional in French.
  • Solid command of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint)
  • Strong Ability to work with specialized software
  • Ability to take meeting minutes and notes in a timely fashion
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills. Ability to shift priorities when needed
  • Ability to work independently, as well as demonstrate initiative, thoroughness, and sound judgment
  • Ability to work with confidential information and documents as well as apply a high level of discretion
