We are seeking an HRPD Student, for our North American Headquarters (Edmonton, AB) for 4 months starting in May 2024.

As an HRPD Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

  • Assist with all aspects of the district student program including full cycle recruitment, onboarding/off boarding, compensation research, student events and career fair participation.
  • Assist with full cycle recruitment for salaried employees including resume review, coordinating interviews, conducting prescreens, and reference checks.
  • Support monthly metrics and reporting processes related to career management and vacation planning.
  • Support district HRPD initiatives related to employee engagement, diversity and inclusion and health & wellness.
  • Support activities requiring a high degree of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Other duties as required.
What you will bring to the role:
  • Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources Major.
  • Must be proactive in terms of anticipating needs and follow-up items for the project team.
  • Expert in Microsoft office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, telephone, and organizational skills.
  • Exhibits strict confidentiality with all information.
  • Must be independent and resourceful to accomplish day- to-day tasks and assignments.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and grammatical skills.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple aggressive deadlines.
