WHO YOU ARE

The E-Comm 9-1-1 People & Culture Team is seeking a data driven and technology-automation minded HRIS and Rewards Specialist to join their team. As the HRIS and Rewards Specialist you will be the HRIS \'Super User\' in People & Culture and the resident expert in navigating and troubleshooting the system. This role will be part of the implementation of several new modules to our existing HRIS system and will play a pivotal role in the technical aspects of the implementation as well as partnering with other members of People & Culture in the design, development and rollout of training materials and user guides.

This role also supports with the administration and execution of the Exempt Compensation Plan in partnership with the Rewards team. Using your analysis and problem solving skills you will complete job evaluations for positions, support the annual compensation cycle as well as support the development and maintenance of compensation materials.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

HRIS (75%):

  • Participate in all project phases of the HRIS Module implementations
  • Act as People & Culture HRIS Super User to take ownership of configuration and testing of the new modules
  • Participate in data conversion activities with business SMEs to understand conversion requirements
  • Lead the end-to-end administration and enhancements for the system and related integrations
  • Conduct periodic data and process audits and recommend corrective actions or improvements
  • Ensure the system security model (role security) is maintained
  • Act as lead system administrator to maintain system integrity, execute system changes, and maintain operations.
  • Review vendor release notes and work with business owners to determine which changes will be enabled; coordinate the testing and deployment of enhancements.
  • Maintain the help desk function for the Dayforce system; ensure timely response to user issues.
  • roubleshoot system issues as they arise, monitor integration error logs and take corrective action.
  • Open support cases with Ceridian as required; monitor cases opened by business users to identify trends, opportunities for system/process enhancements, or training.
  • Collaborate with business owners across the People & Culture and Payroll teams to understand new or changed requirements and configure the system appropriately
  • Establish and document processes that efficiently leverage the system capabilities
  • Understand reporting requirements to create new custom reports as needed
  • Maintain system documentation to support knowledge transfer and business continuity
Rewards (25%):
  • Conduct job evaluations and finalize job descriptions
  • Provide support to the Talent team and People & Culture Business Partners through compensation recommendations backed by market data in support of new hires and internal promotions
  • Maintain tracking lists for annual increases and notify Managers and Payroll as needed
  • Support the assessment of budgetary impacts of compensation decisions.
  • Coordinating, interpreting, communicating, and supporting the Exempt Compensation Program, including training and guiding others on the application of guidelines and policies
  • Create professional and dynamic power point presentations for leadership team.
  • Participates in total rewards and related projects and developing new programs, policies, etc.
  • Create and maintain documents and resources as needed
  • Perform other duties as requested.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor\'s degree in human resources or related field
  • Minimum 3 years\' experience using and administering an HRIS system
  • 1-3 years experience supporting compensation programs in either a private or a public organization
  • Excellent presentation and communication (written & verbal) skills
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
  • Critical thinker who can connect the downstream impact of decisions, and processes, on other areas and stakeholders
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make proposals, provide root cause analysis, and demonstrate results
  • Personal integrity and maturity, including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Innovative and creative in your approach to the development and improvements of reward strategies and approaches
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is considered an asset but not required
  • A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is considered an asset.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm. The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is 3-5 years.

To qualify for this process, a candidate may be either a Canadian Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen. We regret any candidates under Student, Visitor, or Work Visas are not eligible for consideration.
