About this opportunity
Our client is a global life reinsurance provider headquartered in an established offshore financial center. The company delivers tailored reinsurance and financial solutions to clients across multiple international markets. This newly created position will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, clarity, and timeliness of financial reporting and regulatory submissions under IFRS and local reporting standards. The role will help strengthen the organization's financial governance and compliance framework.
The Senior Finance Manager will bring extensive experience in IFRS accounting and life (re)insurance, with strong analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate will also contribute to process improvement and reporting automation, supporting the ongoing modernization of the finance function within a fast-growing, international business.
Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead quarterly IFRS financial reporting, variance analysis, and commentary for senior stakeholders, providing crucial support to the management of the business
  • Manage year-end IFRS reporting and ensure clarity and accuracy in disclosures
  • Coordinate regulatory submissions, including BSCR and Quarterly Financial Returns for the Bermuda Monetary Authority
  • Oversee daily finance operations and external audit coordination
  • Maintain robust financial controls and risk management processes
  • Develop expertise in investment accounting and collaborate with the investment team
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, process improvements, and reporting automation
What you'll need
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA), ideally gained at a Big 4 firm
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial reporting, preferably within life insurance or reinsurance
  • Strong expertise in IFRS accounting standards and analytical skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with financial reporting systems and regulatory platforms
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, strong organizational and time management skills, and a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
