Job Description

Peak is a Lethbridge-based Human Services agency that provides support services to persons with developmental disabilities. Peak's core focus is on opening doors in our community for persons with disabilities. These 'doors' include vocational training, employment support, residential services, assistance in navigating the justice system, and programs that simultaneously build life skills and enhance quality of life.

The Human Resources Technician performs a range of duties supporting our Human Resources department. The responsibilities include recruitment, hiring and onboarding processes, employee database and systems maintenance, follow-up on the process of resignations and terminations, and requirements in collaboration with other HR staff.

Main Responsibilities:



Recruitment, Hiring & Resignation processes Human Resources Administration: supports the implementation and communication of personnel policies and procedures. Create and maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to personnel data (e.g., hires, terminations, turnover, attendance, performance appraisals, etc) utilizing database systems. Maintain human resources electronic file system WCB follow up Health and Safety Keep an open and collaborative communication with all the areas of Peak Provide general information and assistance to employees and external parties. Other HR projects and administrative duties On Call - Scheduling rotation (TBD) Organizagtional schedule/Service Delivery

Our ideal candidate will have a combination of knowledge and Experience:



6 months to 1.5 years of demonstrated knowledge, and experience in HR Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Highly organized with effective time management skills Advanced level of proficiency in computer skills Commitment to workplace compliance Conviction to improve personally and support continuous improvement Confident, consistent decisive personality

Requirements:



A University or College Diploma; Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Database experience with various organizational specific systems. A valid class 5 driver's license and a reliable vehicle to use for work purposes Clean Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Persons Check
Salary and Benefits: $20.00 to $22.73 per hour. The salary offered will reflect the education, and experience of the candidate. This position is a full-time position (40 hours per week).
