: HR Specialist (Toronto/Kitchener, Ontario, Canada) We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Specialist to join our team at Montfort Capital Corporation based in
Toronto/Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. As an HR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our human resources department and ensuring the effective management of our employees. Responsibilities: 1. Recruitment and Selection: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, write job descriptions, and manage the recruitment process. Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and make recommendations for candidate selection. 2. Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Facilitate the smooth onboarding of new employees by coordinating orientation programs, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Conduct exit interviews and handle all aspects of employee offboarding. 3. HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with applicable employment laws and regulations. Provide guidance to employees regarding HR policies and ensure consistent adherence throughout the organization. 4. Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on HR-related matters, including employee benefits, performance management, and conflict resolution. Proactively address employee concerns and grievances, striving to maintain a positive work environment. 5. Performance Management: Support the performance management process, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans. Provide guidance to managers and employees, ensuring fairness and consistency. 6. Compensation and Benefits: Collaborate with the executive team to administer and communicate compensation and benefits programs. Assist with salary benchmarking, job evaluations, and the annual performance review process. 7. Compliance and Reporting: Stay up to date with labour laws, employment standards, and industry regulations to ensure compliance. Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, leaves, and attendance. 8. Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate employee development initiatives. Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and other training programs to enhance employees\' skills and knowledge. 9. Payroll and Benefits Administration: Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including calculation and processing of salaries, bonuses, overtime, and deductions. Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Maintain employee records and update payroll and benefits systems with accurate and up-to-date information. 10. Systems Development: As the organization grows, conduct comprehensive analysis and evaluation of HRIS (Human Resources
Information System) options to support the organization\'s HR functions, and research, evaluate, and implement stock option/share unit allocation software to effectively manage and administer equity compensation plans. Requirements: - Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience (7+ years) in HR roles, preferably as an HR Specialist or similar position.
- Strong understanding of Canadian employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Solid knowledge of recruitment and selection processes, including experience with interviewing and candidate evaluation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of integrity.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems for data management and reporting.
- Professional certifications in Human Resources (e.g., CHRP, CHRL) are highly desirable.
