Position Overview HR Services within Human Resources is currently seeking a Full-time Regular HR Specialist, People Reporting and Projects. Reporting to the Director, HR Partnerships, this role involves supporting HR projects and partnering closely with Centres of Expertise to use exiting data to generate analytics to provide insights and tell the HR story for reports and dashboards for client groups and the institution. It requires applying data and analytics skills to improve the tracking of key metrics and performance indicators within the organization. The job is characterized by periods of peak activity, demanding a high level of adaptability, accuracy, judgement, business acumen, and problem-solving skills. This role will use data provided by Centre\'s of Expertise to provide data-driven insights for distribution to leaders using clear communication channels that influence and inspire action. They will build and maintain strong relationships with Centres of Expertise as well as with key business partners outside of HR (IT, LR, Finance, Communications, and others). They will research external trends and industry benchmarks to make recommendations and participate in special projects and initiatives related to people analytics and reporting. Position Description Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of People analytics and insights by compiling and analyzing workforce and program data from Centre\'s of Expertise and designing, building and sharing key reports.
  • Ensure a high degree of data integrity and accuracy.
  • Prepare executive and senior leader level data visualizations and presentations to convey a meaningful story and actionable insights to business partners on topics impacting the talent lifecycle.
  • Translate data into clear narratives with recommendations to help enhance the organization\'s data-driven decision-making capabilities and achievement of business objectives.
  • Collaborate and build effective relationships including providing People insight consultative services to HR team members and business leaders, working in close partnership with the HR Partnerships team and Centres of Expertise.
  • Support managers and HR colleagues in interpreting and understanding data to help them lead, work, and organize in a way that supports people leaders to achieve their HR objectives.
  • Drive key initiatives and projects including identifying key objectives, opportunities, priorities and developing plans.
  • Contribute to HR calendar of events and initiatives outlining strategic HR projects and monitoring progress.
  • Being an active member of the HR Partnerships team, engage on broad team agenda items and initiatives.
  • Lead, in strong consultation with Communications, the HR Partnership team and Centre\'s of Expertise, the development of the HR website, ensuring it meets functional and organizational needs.
  • Regularly update and maintain the HR website with current information and resources.
  • Assist the HR leadership team in the development and execution of internal communication including the monthly HR newsletter from the Associate Vice President, HR.
  • Create and maintain various HR toolkits and resources.
  • Develop online learning modules and conduct surveys to gather feedback and improve resources.
  • Design job aids and other educational materials to support team development.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • A completed bachelor\'s degree in Business, HR, or a related field
  • 5+ years\' relevant experience including analytics and report creation
  • Expert proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Teams, Articulate, and survey software
  • Ability to create executive-level presentations and reports
  • Ability to disseminate trends and patterns from a large set of data
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft a strong asset
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, and analytical
  • Action-oriented with a strong work ethic and drive to achieve excellence
  • Strong ability to collaborate across teams and levels while operating and driving priorities independently
  • Ability to manage with sensitivity highly confidential information
  • Experience with Power BI considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) - experience with PeopleSoft is an asset.
  • CPHR designation is an asset
