What is this role about? This position will deliver both strategic and tactical HR support to the executive leadership team. This position is responsible for developing and implementing internal processes to create efficiency within the business. This person will readily reach out, seek out answers, and provide HR and process-based solutions to problems that the company wasn\xe2\x80\x99t even considering. This role will provide direction on labour relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and other HR related activities.
What will your day to day look like?

  • Provide leadership, structure, and direction to the HR Department through the development of systems, strategies and procedures for the delivery of the department\xe2\x80\x99s functions.
  • Analyze and advise on trends and human resources issues and provides advice and guidance to management on human resources issues.
  • Develop metrics to measure the success of strategic initiatives such as recruitment, employee retention and employee engagement.
  • Monitor and ensure the organization\xe2\x80\x99s compliance with provincial, federal state, and international employment laws and regulations, recommend best practices; develop, review and modify policies and practice to maintain compliance.
  • Manage and conduct the talent acquisition process, including international recruitment, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Facilitate company change initiatives.
  • Manage compensation and total rewards programs; ensures fair and equitable compensation practices.
  • Oversee and administer employee engagement and recognition programs; develop and implement new strategies on an ongoing basis.
  • Oversee leadership development; trains supervisory and management staff, and provides ongoing support as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day employee relations and maintains confidential staff records.
  • Maintain, update, deploy, and oversee performance management and review processes for all employees.
  • Develop company\xe2\x80\x99s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies and programs; develops strategic approaches to cultivate belonging in a remote workplace; assess for inequity at every level of the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you\'ll bring to the table
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR experience, growing a team and supporting operations.
  • Excellent consultative, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent organizational, and communication (verbal/digital) skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining proactive and flexible in style.
  • Work with minimal up-front guidance and the ability to take ownership of work products.
  • Thorough knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organization design, diversity, performance management and human resource procedures, policies, federal/state/international HR laws and regulations, and employee benefits.
  • HR work with global organizations is preferred.
