for Human Resources across Triumph Group of Companies in Canada. Working closely with the Portugal-based HR team, the HR Manager will focus on
recruitment, employee relations, career development, performance programs, and compliance support
. This role acts as the primary HR contact for employees and managers locally, ensuring HR initiatives are aligned with organizational needs and supporting the company's rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Lead all recruiting activities for Canada, from job postings and candidate sourcing to interviews and onboarding.
Work with department heads to forecast staffing needs and build proactive pipelines.
Support employer branding and outreach to attract top industry talent.
2. Career Development & Performance Programs
Design and implement a
career advancement program
for employees across all divisions.
Support performance management systems in partnership with Marilia (Portugal), ensuring KPIs and reviews are delivered on time.
Provide coaching and career path planning to managers and employees.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns, workplace issues, and conflict resolution.
Promote a culture of engagement, accountability, and collaboration.
Coordinate employee communication and engagement initiatives.
4. HR Operations & Compliance
Support administration of employment contracts, attendance programs, layoff notices, and vacation tracking with Marilia (Portugal).
Ensure compliance with Canadian labor laws, employment standards, and health & safety requirements.
Maintain accurate employee records and oversee policy updates.
5. Shared Services & Coordination
Work with Payroll (Pedro & Ketlyn) to ensure accurate and timely payroll data.
Ensure HR processes are documented and accessible in the Triumph Portal (liaising with the process owner responsible for updates).
Liaise with Safety (Ken & Lina) to integrate HR practices with health & safety systems (SALUS).
Collaborate with Shared Services in Portugal (Marilia, Paola, Sandra) for attendance, contracts, and documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (HR designation preferred: CHRP/CHRL/SHRM-CP).
5+ years of HR experience, with exposure to recruiting, employee relations, and compliance in Ontario.
Experience creating career advancement or performance programs.
Strong knowledge of Ontario labor law and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while coordinating across global teams.
