The HR / Labour Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Sales and Operations teams in managing workforce planning, employee relations, recruitment, and labour compliance. This role plays a vital part in coordinating staffing requirements, ensuring adherence to employment legislation, and promoting a positive work environment for all employees and labourers.
Key Responsibilities:
Labour Coordination:
Coordinate daily and weekly labour requirements with event or site managers.
Maintain accurate schedules and timesheets for all employees and contracted labour.
Ensure billing a line with what was sold on the event.
Assist in onboarding new labourers, including orientation and site inductions.
Liaise with labour supply agencies and ensure staffing needs are met on time.
Human Resources Support:
Assist in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of candidates for labour and staff positions.
Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and documentation.
Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
Monitor and track absenteeism, lateness, and other HR metrics.
Help implement HR policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with local labour laws, workplace standards, and health & safety requirements.
Prepare HR and labour reports for management as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
Communication and Coordination:
Act as a liaison between employees, supervisors, and management.
Promote clear and consistent communication across departments and work sites.
Support HR initiatives such as training, performance reviews, and employee engagement programs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2+ years of experience in HR, labour coordination, or workforce planning.
Knowledge of labour laws, HR best practices, and workplace compliance standards.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS or scheduling systems is an asset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience in entertainment industry preferred.
Working Conditions:
May require visiting work sites to coordinate with field teams.
Some weekend or evening availability may be needed depending on project schedules.
Office and field-based role.

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
