What you can expect in a typical day
As the HR Governance Strategic Partner you will work closely with the Director HR Governance, HR stakeholders, and leaders from HR COEs and HR Operations to support the design, development and implementation of HR Governance owned processes, the HR Stewardship and Reporting Framework, as well as the HR Communication, Engagement & Education Framework. This role will support and lead HR Governance process projects, ensuring the successful implementation of various foundational HR Governance Frameworks.

Your roles and responsibilities:
  • Provide strong project management support to scoping and planning the development of HR Governance processes
  • Perform stakeholder analysis to identify key stakeholders (within and external to HR) to provide subject matter expertise and input to the design and development of HR Governance processes.
  • Design, facilitate and participate in HR Governance process mapping and design workshops
  • Research best practice for HR Governance processes
  • Map HR Governance processes in HR Process tool (ProcedureFlow)
  • Develop HR Governance process implementation plan including Change Management, Communication and Education plans and materials
  • Collaborate and liaise with HR COEs, HR Communications Specialist, HR Talent & Leadership Development team and HR Operations to support the design and development of the HR Communication, Engagement & Education framework and the HR Reporting & Stewardship Framework
  • Collaborate with HR COEs, support the identification of key People metrics and data to enable the HR Reporting Framework for the organization.
  • Research best practice and industry standards for HR/People reporting and analytics
  • Support the Director, HR Governance with HR Governance projects and scopes of work as required


Professional skills
  • 5-10 years of broad human resources experience working in both front-line HR Operations and COE
  • Understanding of foundational HR processes and practices
  • Systems thinking and proven ability to design and develop business processes
  • Strong change management, analytical, problem solving skills
  • Experience working with HR data and analytics
  • Intermediate to senior-level capability working in Excel and performing data analytics
  • Ability to think strategically and carefully while planning and executing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity, flexible and adaptable to changes in assignments and priorities
  • Must be able to maintain good working relationships and partner well with the stakeholders
  • Time, organizational and priority management skills


Travel
  • Travel is not a requirement for this position.


Education and experience
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Human Resources
  • Project and Change Management experience and/or certifications
