We are in search of an HR Generalist to join our client in Toronto, Ontario. In this full time, contract role, you will be instrumental in managing various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations, and creating a positive work environment. This position calls for a significant understanding of HR practices and recruitment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage a variety of tasks at once.Key Responsibilities:xc2xb7 Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.xc2xb7 Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and promoting a positive work culture.xc2xb7 Performance Management: Assist in the performance management process, including conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and tracking employee progress.xc2xb7 Training & Development: Coordinate training programs, support employee development initiatives, and help identify skills gaps within the organization.xc2xb7 Compensation & Benefits: Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, bonuses, and benefits enrollment.xc2xb7 Compliance & Policies: Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations. Update and maintain employee handbooks and policies as needed.xc2xb7 Employee Records: Maintain and update accurate employee records, including personal data, employment history, and performance evaluations.xc2xb7 HR Reporting: Prepare and maintain various HR reports related to recruitment, turnover, employee satisfaction, and other HR metrics.xc2xb7 Employee Engagement: Foster an environment of employee engagement through activities, surveys, and feedback initiatives aimed at improving morale and retention.xc2xb7 Payroll Support: Assist in payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee compensation.xc2xb7 Exit Process: Manage offboarding procedures for departing employees, including exit interviews and the return of company property.Qualifications & Skills:xc2xb7 Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.xc2xb7 2-4 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role.xc2xb7 Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and labor regulations.xc2xb7 Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.xc2xb7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS software.xc2xb7 Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.xc2xb7 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
