Key Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process including job postings, applicant tracking, and interview scheduling
Ensure recruitment practices are fair, transparent, and compliant with collective agreements
Collaborate with hiring managers to support timely and accurate recruitment documentation
Organize onboarding processes, ensuring all documentation, system access, and orientation activities are completed
HR Administration & Offboarding
Manage offboarding logistics and ensure accurate closure of employee files and accounts
Track key milestones including probationary reviews, term contract dates, and anniversaries
Maintain employee records in the HRIS and ensure data accuracy
Generate HR reports and assist in compiling data for workforce planning and analysis
HR Systems & Process Support
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of employee information and HR data
Help streamline workflows by updating templates and supporting process documentation
Respond to basic employee inquiries and redirect complex issues to appropriate HR Advisors
Support a culture of compliance, consistency, and service excellence across all HR processes

Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in recruitment, HR coordination, or administration
Experience working in a unionized environment is strongly preferred
Knowledge of the BC Employment Standards Act and familiarity with collective agreements
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, pivot between tasks, and work independently
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to exercise discretion and handle confidential information appropriately
CHRP designation or working toward it is considered an asset
