The Position:



We are seeking an experienced HR Consultant to support the assessment of HR needs for a newly acquired company. This role will play a critical part in assessing current state HR practices, processes, systems and programs, identifying gaps and opportunities for alignment, managing change and contributing to building a smooth transition plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong generalist background with knowledge of HR operations, HR policy and employee relations and skills in process analysis and improvement.



Key Responsibilities:



Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and execute a plan to review and assess current state HR of a newly acquired company. Conduct a review of HR policies, processes, compensation, benefits, and organizational structure partnering with LifeLabs HR team members to gather appropriate data, assess current state, conduct a gap analysis and develop recommendations. Facilitate employee communication and change management to ensure a smooth transition for any required changes. Monitor and report on progress, risks, and employee feedback. Act as a liaison between leadership, HR teams, and employees during the transition period.

Experience:



Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of HR generalist experience. Experience working with applicable legislation, HR policies, HR best practices, and change management principles.Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking to lead HR integration, aligning policies and operational processes. Strong communication, project management, analytical and interpersonal skills. Experience with mergers and acquisitions is an asset. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
