We encourage all candidates with general HR experience and a desire to learn to apply to this position.The successful candidate will earn valuable experience in all aspects of HR in a fast moving, collaborative, and high performing Startup environment. The candidate will work autonomously on certain projects and assist the HR Manager with the general upkeep and drive of the HR department. This is a hybrid and entry-level position. The chosen candidate will be expected to come to the office three (3) days per week and will be supported by the HR Manager.The HR Associate will report directly to the HR Manager and will be expected to work a total of 40 hours per week.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES- Assist with onboarding of new employees and ensuring their documents are completed and collected;
- Support individual departments with recruitment activities (job postings, updating company websites);
- Assist in the preparation of job fairs at a university and corporate level;
- Assist with market research to ensure pay equity;
- Ensure that all employee files are up to date with, including but not limited to, employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements, employee stock-option plans, health benefit documentation;
- Assist with ensuring that all of the companies are compliant with the norms of the CNESST;
- Assist with event planning and wellness initiatives;
- Assist with general office management to ensure regulatory requirements are being met;
- Translation of documents (English to French);
- Any other tasks as assigned by the HR Manager.REQUIRED SKILLS- BacheloraEUR(TM)s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Previous experience working in Human Resources, or related field
- Knowledge of database software, email systems, and office software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Great organizational skills.
