Our team is growing again and we're seeking a proactive and compassionate HR Generalist (Health & Safety) to join our team and help us maintain a workplace that is compliant, inclusive, and safety-focused.
Position Summary:
The HR Generalist will support a wide range of HR functions including employee relations, onboarding support and administration, performance management, data integrity and compliance--with a particular focus on promoting and maintaining health and safety standards across the organization. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating a positive employee experience while ensuring regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support onboarding, ensuring new hires are trained in all aspects of Bayshore's regulations, including health and safety protocols
• Champion workplace health and safety initiatives in collaboration with the Health & Safety Officer
• Assist in the development and enforcement of HR policies aligned with healthcare regulations and safety standards
• Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and wellness support
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and ensure documentation complies with privacy and safety regulations
• Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and internal safety procedures
• Participate in incident investigations, documentation and support corrective action planning in a timely manner
• Promote a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement

Qualifications
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare or a regulated industry
• Knowledge of employment law, health and safety regulations (e.g., OHSA), and HR best practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with HRIS systems (Peoplesoft) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Certification in Health & Safety or Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) training is an asset
