Job Description

EFry Hope and Help provides trauma-informed, inclusive and gender-responsive programs and services to support women and girls at risk or involved in the legal system in building stable lives.

We are currently recruiting for a

full-time, permanent HR Administrator

who will perform a range of administrative tasks and coordinate key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding and orientation, file management, and support for the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role also ensures the accuracy and completeness of data within Dayforce (HRIS).

Reporting to the HRGeneralist, the successful candidate will support managers by creating job postings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, verifying education credentials, conducting reference checks, preparing offer packages, and facilitating employee orientations. Additional responsibilities include supporting policy updates, conducting criminal record checks, maintaining employee files and Dayforce data, and assisting with all stages of the employee lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



1. Performs administrative duties for the Human Resources department and maintains accurate, up-to-date records of employee data and tracking.

2. Supports recruitment processes, including managing job postings, reviewing and screening resumes and applications, preparing applicant summaries, conducting reference checks, verifying credentials, completing pre-employment checks, and facilitating onboarding.

3. Maintains the HRIS database through regular data entry and audits. Ensures all electronic and paper employee records are current and compliant with payroll standards, legal requirements, and funder guidelines.

4. Assists in the administration of staff training, licensing, and audit/accreditation requirements.

5. Determines eligibility and processes benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.

6. Files and tracks employee credentials, criminal record checks, first-aid certifications, training certificates, and other documentation.

7. Keep records meetings related to HR concerns and coordinates with HR Generalist of upcoming commitments and meetings.

8. Assists with the administration of HR programs and projects, including rewards and recognition, diversity initiatives, wellness programs, and employee surveys.

9. Maintains the employee filing system, HR forms, and office supplies.

Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related

field (preferred).

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in human resources, including onboarding and benefits

administration.

Solid understanding of HR processes, employment regulations, and standards.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems (preferred).

Prior experience with Dayforce is considered an asset.

Experience working in a not-for-profit environment.

MANDATORY JOB REQUIREMENTS:



Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.

Satisfactory Criminal Record Review (Vulnerable Sector Search).

Doctors note of fitness to perform the duties of the job.

Valid Ontario driver's license, with satisfactory driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.39-$31.19 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 37.5 per week
