Details:

Full time, Days, 37.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM

Pay Scale:

Commensurate with education and experience

Locations:

Central Services, 14220 - 109 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5N 4B3, and various locations throughout Edmonton (travel between other GEF sites may be required, mileage paid)

Typical Duties:

The Housing Placement Coordinator (HPC) works to transition housing applicants into an appropriate GEF Seniors Housing program, supporting the organization's management of its housing units. The HPC may review applications, conducts intake interviews, determine eligibility, manages waitlists, coordinates unit match procedures, maintains documentation, prepares housing reports, and completes applicant reference checks. The HPC is proactive, flexible and collaborative and demonstrates considerable respect, compassion, sensitivity, independent judgement and attention to detail in dealing with clients, GEF communities and partner agencies.



Experience/Education Preferences:



Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal Diploma or degree, preferably in Social Work, Human Services, Human Ecology, or Gerontology Minimum three years of experience working with vulnerable population Experience working with Seniors and assessment is an asset Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office
