Yukon University is seeking a Housing Operations Coordinator, to oversee the delivery of student housing services and day-to-day operations focused on areas related to client services, front desk, occupancy management, and student payments. The incumbent will be responsible for management of the housing inventory, including all aspects of resident assignments/admissions processes, facilitating, and coordinating all move-ins and move-outs processes and associated requirements. This position hires and supervises the student(s) as required. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Student Life Coordinator (Campus Housing), Safety and Security, and Facilitates to ensure a healthy, respectful, safe, and supportive environment for students living at Yukon University.
Working closely with the Student Life Coordinator, this position monitors and contributes to all housing policies and procedures and, in collaboration with the Safety & Security Manager, monitors Campus Housing safety and related policy requirements. As a member of the University Infrastructure team, the incumbent collaborates with other University Infrastructure departments, student groups, Yukon U staff, faculty, and community partners to provide a broad range of student services and other duties as required. This position is often the first point of contact for students, prospective students, University staff and members of the public regarding any housing operations inquiries. The Housing Operations Coordinator will also be the primary point of contact for the integration of a new housing operating system to be implemented in summer, 2023.
The ideal candidate should have a post-secondary degree in business administration, hospitality, or related discipline, along with several years\' professional experience in areas related to student housing, property management, hotel management, or related experience, preferably in a post-secondary environment. Formal training in areas related to occupancy management systems, finance and accounting, or related areas would be an asset.
