JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Housing Manager is responsible for the upkeep of all staff accommodation buildings. This position is a hands-on position and is expected to be present to tenants for maintenance deficiencies, cleanliness, security, and conflicting tenant issues.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate with HR about new employee arrivals, room changes, and departures
Coordinate with HR about room changes and departures
Escort new employees to their unit and bedroom - explain important housing information
Be familiar with and compliant with Residential Tenancy Act
Respond to maintenance work orders
Maintenance inspections
Grounds maintenance throughout front line staff accommodations including snow removal
Weekly and Monthly unit inspections for cleanliness, maintenance deficiencies and vagrants
Cleaning public areas and units as required
Discipline tenants when required
Maintain order and establish presence with tenants
Monitor inventory and complete purchase orders
Administrative duties
Assist with tenant concerns
Supervise one staff member in the housing department
Coordinate with Security about any issues that may arise
Other duties as required by the General Manager, Hotel Manager and HR Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
Supervisory experience an asset
Minimum 2-3 years of maintenance related work experience
Familiarity with a general plumbing, repairs and other property maintenance tasks
Energetic, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity
Excellent customer service skills
Highly organized and detail oriented
Works well under pressure, without supervision, independently, and as a member of a team
Able to perform well in a fast-paced work environment
Good communication skills verbally and in writing
Must be able to push and pull up to 75 lbs
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Supervisory experience an asset
Ability to provide clean driving record
Skid Steer training is an asset
