Autumnwood Mature Lifestyle Communities is currently seeking a Temporary Full-Time Housekeeper (Maternity Leave replacement) to join their team. This position will be working within our Alternate Health Facility located within our facility. Environmental Services Staff work to achieve the following: \xc2\xb7 To provide patients with a clean and orderly physical environment. \xc2\xb7 To employ infection prevention and control measures while performing all cleaning duties. \xc2\xb7 To identify safety hazards within the physical environment and immediately report these to the Joint Health and Safety Committee. \xc2\xb7 To adhere to all safety measures and precautions for the protection and comfort of the residents, family members, employees and volunteers. Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a retirement home is required. \xc2\xb7 Excellent teamwork and effective communication skills (both written and oral). \xc2\xb7 Strong organizational and time-management skills. \xc2\xb7 Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work well independently and under pressure. \xc2\xb7 High interpersonal and customer service skills. \xc2\xb7 An understanding of the needs and issues of the older adult is required. \xc2\xb7 An understanding of effective Infection Prevention and Control practices is required. \xc2\xb7 Familiarity with WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety and Sanitation Code. \xc2\xb7 Ability to follow instructions is required. \xc2\xb7 Ability to do extensive standing, walking, squatting, kneeling and lifting of objects up to 50lbs is required. \xc2\xb7 Availability to work weekdays/weekends and for on-call coverage for sick call replacement is required. \xc2\xb7 Good attendance record is required. \xc2\xb7 Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within 6 months of start of employment) and proof of full (2 dose) Covid-19 vaccination is required. \xc2\xb7 TB testing and N95 mask fit certificate is required. \xc2\xb7 Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
