Job Description



The Continuing Education department of Champlain College St. Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR for the course COMMUNICATION & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS (350-101-LA).

This course will help students develop communication skills and acquire interpersonal skills to create a harmonious culture in the work space. Skills such as awareness of one’s strengths and weaknesses, giving feedback, decoding non-verbal language, active listening, and exercising judgement will be looked at. This course also covers concepts related to organizational psychology, conflict resolution and leadership.
Required Qualifications : Must have thorough knowledge of and experience in communication, conflicts resolution and teamwork in Human Resources Management. Must have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management with a minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business Administration, communication or psychology with a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in human resources. Experience teaching an adult clientele is an asset.

Comments : This course will be delivered in a face-to-face format (synchronous); classes will be taught onsite from the College. The format of delivery may change based on Government directives in place at the time of the course.

Mondays 1-4

Wednesdays 1-4
(EXCEPT Dec. 28)

Courses may be postponed or cancelled due to a lack of registered students. The schedule may change based on the needs of the program.

Courses are taught in English. The selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
