What will you do in this job?:
As a Glacier View Lodge Hotel Supervisor, you will work with other hotel and Columbia Icefield staff to personalize the guest experience at the Glacier View Lodge (GVL), encouraging guests to refresh and relax in one of the most spectacular locations in the Canadian Rockies. This is a multi-faceted position and can include any, or all, of the following:
Assists Housekeeping team in all areas of daily housekeeping service
Manages Housekeeping, Host and Front Desk teams on Manager's scheduled days off and all other times as required
Inspects the work of housekeepers, hosts and front desk agents to ensure that proper operational standards are met and maintained
Assists the Hotel Manager in maintaining quality control in all areas of the Lodge
Assists the Hotel Manager in the control of stock & inventories of supplies and linens to ensure adequate supply levels are maintained
Assists the Hotel Manager in investigating all complaints/suggestions regarding all GVL services and takes appropriate corrective action
Works closely with the Hotel Manager to submit rooms for check-in and reports of any room or guest issues
Assists Hotel Manager in organizing and providing training programs in accordance with the housekeeping/host/front desk standard procedures
Enforces all company policies and regulations
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, front desk and or hotel operations required
A positive, helpful, team-oriented, inspiring, cooperative attitude to all aspects of the job
Enjoy working autonomously and independently
Current Alberta Pro Serve Certification
