Key Responsibilities



Luxury Guest Experience:

Uphold the highest standards of personalized service, ensuring every guest experience is memorable and reflective of Relais & Chateaux's values and the five diamond standards. Must have expert knowledge of the luxury market to ensure hotel is meeting global expectations.

The successful candidate will embody these values. The Hotel manager should lead and motivate the staff to make personalized experiences for our guests, ensure all service from dish presentation in Bacchus to check-in at the Front Desk is exemplary. Each task should be met with an underlying sense of pride.

Departmental Overview:

Lead the Executive team to success with a participative leadership style: be readily available to communicate with each member, coordinate the operation of each department and assist in identifying problems and solutions. Guide the leadership team in dealing with the hotel's problems and opportunities in order to best serve the financial interests of the property.

Financial Oversight:

Target driven-individual with a background in revenue management, strong ability in enhancing room revenue and sales. Oversee the overall strategy, performance and profitability of the property. Monthly forecasting of operating staff, cost expenditures and budgeting. Business planning in line with forecasted sales and costs including guidance to department heads.

Team Development:

Recruit, mentor, and lead the next generation of hospitality leaders to succeed. Utilize inspirational leadership to create a sense of loyalty to the hotel in order to reduce turnover and increase morale.

Operational Management:

Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including rooms, food and beverage, spa, and events, ensuring seamless daily operations.

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement strategies to enhance the hotel's reputation, revenue, and operational efficiency.

Brand Representation:

Serve as the face of the hotel, engaging with the local community, industry partners, and key stakeholders to strengthen the hotel's market position.

Employee Relations:

Be visible and available to all personnel in accordance with the Company's open-door policy. High level of legal knowledge in line with BC legislation, previous experience working with unions is an asset.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or Director of Operations with at least 5 years at luxury hotel or resort. Experience working in a family business is an asset. Deep understanding of the Vancouver market and the luxury hospitality segment. Strong financial acumen with a track record of driving revenue and managing budgets. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with guests, staff, and partners. Passion for curating bespoke guest experiences and maintaining the highest service standards. Experience with globally recognized luxury hospitality brands or collections is an asset. Development of annual operating budget which will serve as an operating plan and define required levels of achievement. Assure achievement of annual budget in revenues, costs and profits through accounting diligence and expenditure controls and proficient accounting practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
