Hotel Manager

The Hotel Manager is pivotal to the success of the operation. Overseeing all key areas of the operation, you will lead the team by demonstrating leadership and your willingness to be successful. Food & Beverage operations, Housekeeping, Front Desk and Maintenance are all interdependent on one another to be successful.

As a hotel known for superior service, you will be the head coach in developing and leading the team towards success through professionalism, developing their understanding of the importance of their role, ensuring they feel wanted and by demonstrating financial responsibility for the success of the overall operation. The Hotel Manager requires a deep understanding of front desk operations as it is the strongest source of revenue. Learning systems and processes to maximize efficiencies are key and valued. Brand initiatives play a key role in building loyalty and full participation is needed. The Food & Beverage department provides a great service, but profitability can be quickly eroded without proper control and oversight. Creativity and consistency will be a factor in building a loyal base of clients. Developing a plan, working the plan and then evaluating the plan will be supported by senior management and ownership. A clean and well-maintained hotel is what the client expects first and foremost - these departments are integral to our success - eyes wide open every day.

The Hotel Manager plays a major role in developing the profile and reputation of the business. Community involvement, local sales, generally being switched on to what is happening around town can be a huge benefit for the property. Your efforts are supported by our Business Development role which is at your service as needed.

Finally, assessing risk whether through competitive activity or observing our asset is priceless, owners need to know where to invest and expend energy, always lean in and advise.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Hotel Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel and reports directly to the Senior Director of Hotel Operations.

Direct and coordinates hotels activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize full potential with a balanced focus on hotels mission, guest and employee satisfaction.

HOTEL MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Hotel including all Food and Beverage Outlets, Maintenance, Sales/Marketing and Customer Service

? Assigns duties to and observes performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.

? Provides on-going training for staff.

? Acts as the hotel's public relations director and promotes the hotel within the hotel industry, local community and trade associations.

? Monitor the Guest feedback on all social media platforms and Medallia

? Receives and resolves guest complaints and service recovery process.

? Select/assist in the selection of hotel staff and complete all new hire admin and onboarding.

? Review employee performance and conduct personnel actions such as disciplinary actions and terminations.

? Understand and abide by all brand standards and company policies as well as standard operating procedures.

? Ensures the Mission and Values of the owners are upheld to achieve high guest satisfaction.

? Build loyalty with team and customers through positive and engaging communication, while managing expectations and delivering solid business results.

? Assist Senior Director in key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.

? Assist the Senior Director in wage scale surveys and ensure employees are compensated and rewarded.

? Must Be prepared to be available evenings and weekends as required based on pace of business.

? Provide input on opportunities for growth, marketing ideas and possible community partnerships.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
