Summary of Responsibilities



Complete all assigned Maintenance Work Orders and Daily Work Orders in a timely manner, and all guest issues maintenance from the guest must be turned over immediately & completed to our highest standards There will be cleaning tasks , Scrubbing swimming pool floors & tiles throughout and Shampooing the carpets as required Everyday preventative maintenance has to done and the entire hotel must be turned over every quarter maintain proper chemicals and levels in the pool & hot tub. Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Ability to set up Meeting Rooms & break downs as per our Meeting event orders Comply with our brand quality assurance expectations and standards Respond to emergency situations/events and maintenance requests as required Ability to work independently with maximum accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail, maintaining a sense of urgency always Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work areas Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and or requests to maintain high guest satisfaction Work closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Front desk team and Hotel Guests to become aware of maintenance needs and assist with the successful completion of maintenance in the Hotel. Performs minor repair and must have a track record with respect to plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, dry walling , minor wall papering and have knowledge about Pool and Spa equipment , mechanical equipment All other duties as assigned in accordance with brand requirements & ownership

THE ROLE:



The Maintenance worker is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs for the hotel, ensuring that the rooms and property are maintained in the best possible condition with the least possible inconvenience to guests.

Check and monitor mechanical systems such as boilers, replacing roof top filters & in the hallways

Perform basic maintenance to door lock systems including installation and programming.

Maintain entire hotel and surrounding areas in perfect working condition.

Perform daily walk-around inspections of hotel, inside and outside, ensuring cleanliness of the hotel & pick up all the rubbish in the parking lot

Inspect all public areas to ensure light bulbs and doors are latching for the security of the hotel

Inspect fitness room equipment area and ensure all equipment is in working order

Maintain daily log of work completed and submit to General Manager

Work as a team player with the Housekeeping and Guest Services departments regarding the status of rooms, guest requests, and upkeep and repair issues.

Have a sign in & sign out for keys with front desk.Sign in for a pager & respond to all the calls immediately

Ensure adherence to the hotel's policy regarding security of bedrooms and keys.

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, the proper uniform and name tag when working.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by department heads/ managers.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE:



HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical experience.

Hospitality work experience an asset and highly desired.

Must have Valid driver's license required.

Ability to exert in excess in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently

Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations and must have Exceptional organizational abilities

Excellent verbal communication skills (additional spoken languages an asset).

Ability to work outdoors or indoors

Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.

Qualifications and Abilities required



At least 3-5 years of experience in a Hotel Maintenance role, with experience in minor painting, carpentry, electrical , plumbing , caulking and minor dry walling patching, wallpapering , carpentry and not limiting to these repairs must be able to work on minimum supervision.& report to GM on daily basis Be available on call basis during off hours for emergency situations Available for emergency calls. Must be flexible with the start times and is available to work on weekends as well Previous hotel work experience is an asset or worked in the similar environment
