Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible to perform various tasks to ensure a hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems are in good working order. This includes both routine maintenance and responding to urgent repair requests. Candidate will be working with various systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and equipment.

Duties

Performing regular inspections of building systems and equipment. Maintaining inventory of supplies and tools. Carrying out scheduled maintenance tasks, such as preventative maintenance on HVAC systems. Diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues, including minor electrical and plumbing problems. Repairing or replacing broken fixtures, appliances, and furniture. Responding to emergency repair requests, such as leaks or power outages. Conducting safety inspections and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Reporting any unsafe conditions or hazards. Performing general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sweeping. Assisting with renovations and construction projects. Supporting other departments as needed. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with staff , guests, or external vendors regarding maintenance issues. May be required to work overtime or on weekends. May be required to work in a variety of environments, including guest rooms, hallways, and outdoor areas.

Skills

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in maintenance or repairs is an asset. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and climbing. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive attitude towards maintaining a safe working environment is crucial. Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills are necessary for documentation and collaboration.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
