DEPARTMENT : Front Desk REPORTS TO : Front Office Manager/Assistant Front Office Manager JOB SUMMARY: Hotel Duty ManagerReporting to the Front Office Manager, and in their absence the Assistant Front Office Manager.   • Post-Secondary Degree required
  • Previous Hospitality experience an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in Customer Service role.
Physical requirements:
  • Working evenings, nights, weekend & holidays
  • Ability to sit and stand constantly during entire shift.

  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must be able to multi task.

  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: Hotel Duty Manager
  • Remain readily accessible to guests at all times. Deal with guest inquiries and complaints in a professional, positive & friendly manner.
  • Assist in serving guests in different departments during peak periods as needed
  • Conduct regular tours of public areas of the hotel, inspecting each area according to the hotel's standards and the Manager on Duty Report.
  • Work through department managers and designated shift leaders to correct any deficiencies noted in public areas and guest rooms that can be resolved during shift.
  • Always ready to assist on matters pertaining to welfare of guests, employees and assets of the hotel.
  • Staying up to date on groups arriving in hotel and activities available to them.
