Main Duties
Reporting to the Customer Experience Manager, this role will contribute to the overall goals, initiatives, and organizational objectives of the hotel operation along with all meeting and event spaces. The Hotel Coordinator is responsible for clear and concise communication with the Casino Shift Manager, Food & Beverage Supervisors and both the Regional Marketing and Food & Beverage Managers.

Responsibilities include: hiring, training, supervising, evaluation, and scheduling of all employees for hotel operations, which includes supporting employee development while focusing on exceptional service execution. Scheduling and communications of meeting/multipurpose rooms including addressing inquiries and the oversight of booked meetings and events. Effectively maintain daily administration duties, order and maintain daily and monthly supplies as required, and provide supervision over hotel staff involving room inspections, maintaining public areas and overall guest experience. Utilizing the property management system to analyze, forecast, cost, and report hotel revenues and expenditures. Making decisions or suggestions based on their analysis to ensure profit margins are in line with established targets and room rates are closely monitored.

Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidates are subject to a background check as well are required to obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)/Indigenous Gaming Regulators (IGR).
  • The minimum age to work in a casino or any area where gaming can be seen is 19 years of age.
  • Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver\'s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Some SIGA locations operate in a high sensory environment. You may be required to work in an environment where you will be exposed to tobacco smoke, high noise levels, flashing and blinking lights, and a congested workplace. SIGA adheres to all occupational health and safety regulations and makes every effort to limit the adverse effects of these elements.

  • Compliance with all regulatory requirements as may be applicable to your position including but not limited to both SLGA requirements and the Anti-Money Laundering requirements set out in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and regulations and policies made thereunder by Canada and FINTRAC.
Qualifications

Education
  • Successful completion of a 2-year diploma in hospitality and tourism, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A combination of relevant training and experience may be considered.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years\' experience in the hospitality and/or customer service industry. Must have experience in a supervisory role.
