The Hotel Ambassador - FOH and Banquet is a Combo-Role that serves as the primary guest-facing representative of the hotel, delivering exceptional hospitality at the front desk and throughout banquet events. This role blends welcoming and assisting guests with coordinating banquet functions to ensure smooth operations and memorable experiences.
Front of House (FOH) Duties:
Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and departure, providing a positive first and last impression.
Assist guests with check-in/check-out procedures, reservations, and general inquiries about hotel services and local attractions.
Create and manage group blocks and reservations efficiently to maximize occupancy and meet client needs.
Manage phone and in-person guest communications, addressing requests and resolving concerns promptly.
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs efficiently.
Lead and train the FOH staff when needed.
Banquet Coordination Duties:
Assist in the planning, setup, and execution of banquet events according to client specifications.
Prepare and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring accurate communication of event details to all relevant teams.
Liaise between clients, kitchen, banquet staff, and management to guarantee smooth event operations.
Oversee banquet room setup, service flow, and breakdown to ensure guest satisfaction and adherence to standards.
Respond to guest inquiries and handle any banquet-related issues professionally and promptly.
Support banquet staffing coordination and logistics as required.
Issue banquet invoices accurately and in a timely manner, coordinating with accounting as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience in hospitality, guest services, and banquet coordination preferred.
Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS), preferably OPERA CLOUD.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Customer-focused with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Professional, friendly demeanor with strong problem-solving abilities.
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
