As the face of the program, you\xe2\x80\x99ll lead engaging discussions, interview experts and report on the world of misinformation and disinformation and its impact on society. We are seeking a charismatic, knowledgeable, and curious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to promoting truth and critical thinking.How you will make an impact

  • Collaborate with the lead producer, executive producer and, other team members to identify compelling story segments.
  • Diligently research topics and fact check all content to ensure accuracy and credibility.
  • Write scripts that effectively communicate complex topics in an engaging and accessible manner.
  • Work closely with producers, and editors to develop innovative and highly visual ways to present accurate reports.
  • Record weekly segments that are instructive, entertaining, and engaging.
  • Conduct interviews with experts, panelists, and individuals impacted by misinformation, disinformation and conspiracies.
  • Stay up to date on the latest misinformation and disinformation stories, trends, and developments.
  • Develop strategies to promote media literacy and critical thinking among viewers.
  • Contribute to the planning, design, and organization of the program.
  • Curate and write content to maximize traffic on social media.
  • Foster a strong connection with our audience through social media engagement, and other platforms to foster discussion and feedback.
  • Participate in public and/or community relation activities to promote the program.
What you will bring to TVO
  • Previous experience as TV host, presenter, or similar role.
  • A natural charisma and on-camera presence that captivates audiences and instills trust and credibility.
  • Exceptional writing, interviewing, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong research skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in fact-checking and verifying sources.
  • Media literacy expertise and a deep understanding of misinformation and disinformation tactics.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovative storytelling.
  • A deep-seated commitment to uncovering truth and exposing deception, coupled with a deep sense of journalistic integrity.
