Job Description

We are currently hiring for a skilled and passionate Horticulturist to join our dynamic team!

As a Horticulturist, you will play an integral role in maintaining and enhancing landscapes, providing expert advice, and delivering high-quality horticultural services to our clients. This role will focus on plant health, landscape design, and environmental sustainability, contributing to the continued success and growth of our company.

Responsibilities:



Manage and oversee the maintenance of plants, gardens, and green spaces, ensuring their health, aesthetic quality, and sustainability. Design and implement landscaping projects, including plant selection, planting techniques, and soil management. Provide expert advice on plant care, pest management, irrigation systems, and sustainable horticultural practices. Supervise and collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient, quality-driven project execution. Coordinate the ordering and management of plants, materials, and supplies required for horticultural work. Ensure the proper use of horticultural equipment and tools and train staff on safety and best practices. Conduct plant health assessments and provide solutions for issues such as diseases, pests, and environmental stressors. Keep up-to-date with horticultural trends, techniques, and new plant varieties to enhance services. Develop and implement regular maintenance schedules for ongoing care of landscapes and green spaces. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including plant treatments, maintenance activities, and inventory management. Collaborate with clients to understand their horticultural needs and ensure their satisfaction.

Qualifications:



A degree or diploma in Horticulture, Botany, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in a horticultural or landscaping role. Strong knowledge of plant biology, pest control, soil health, and sustainable gardening practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify and address plant health issues. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail. Proficient in using horticultural tools and equipment, with knowledge of proper maintenance. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and team members effectively. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are preferred. Physical ability to work outdoors and lift heavy materials as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour

Schedule:

10 hour shift Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
