EXPERIENCE WITH DRIVING A HOOKLIFT/ ROLL OFF TRUCK IS REQUIRED.
PRIMARY ASSIGNMENTS:
Transportation, loading, and unloading heavy equipment (i.e., excavators and skid steer) and seacans to job site.
Pickup, delivery, and dumping materials (i.e., concrete, dirt, wood, etc.).
Complete vehicle maintenance checklists and pre- and post-trip inspection.
Cleaning and maintenance of the hooklift truck.
Ensure routine maintenance is completed.
Driving, fueling, and general duties.
Assisting the crew with other project requirements and transportation needs.
Lead by example in ensuring company policies, core values, and culture are being consistently achieved; support and assist on-site team members: laborers, pipe layers, foreman.
Support on-site coordination of manpower, materials, and equipment to complete the project.
Take direction and follow instructions.
Support environmental stewardship, and adherence to all regulations throughout the construction process.
Work with the Foreman/Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents, or near misses on the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company's HS&E Program.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Class 3 Drivers License with a clean abstract.
Reliable personal transportation to commute to and from work (De Winton shop).
Minimum of 2-years hooklift driving (roll off, hook lift, roll off bin)experience.
Knowledge of acceptable traffic controls and appropriate construction signage (i.e., construction cones, signs, barricades).
Experience transporting heavy equipment with a hooklift truck.
Knowledge of the Calgary area and navigating with GPS.
Must be punctual and dependable.
General knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment repair, and preventative maintenance procedures is an asset.
Must be able to pass an Alcohol & Drug Test.
Understanding of, and adherence to construction procedure, road safety, and OH&S practices.
