Job Summary

Green Equipment Rentals is seeking to employ a reliable DZ Truck Driver to join our team.
We operate a construction support business specializing in the rental, delivery, and pickup of waste disposal bins and temporary fence panels throughout the Greater Toronto Area and surroundings regions.

Responsibilities

Operating hooklift trucks for the delivery, positioning, pickup, and transport of waste bins and temporary fence panels. Installing and removing fence panels and related equipment at customer locations according to customer specifications and site safety requirements. Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate records of service routes, loads, deliveries, disposal tickets, and fuel usage. Operating company vehicles and equipment in strict compliance with all applicable laws, transportation safety regulations, and internal company policies. Performing daily care, maintenance, and inspection of company-issued equipment, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and vehicles. Reporting immediately to management any incidents involving accidents, injuries, equipment malfunctions, customer issues, or safety hazards encountered during operations. Following all company safety protocols and procedures, including mandatory use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to the company's Occupational Health and Safety Program. Maintaining respectful, professional. conduct in all dealings with customers, coworkers, subcontractors, members of the public, and company representatives. Promptly communicating with dispatch regarding delays, schedule changes, site conditions, or other operational concerns. Keeping trucks, equipment, and all tools clean, organized, and in proper working condition at all times. Attending training, safety meetings, and other meetings as may be scheduled by the company from time to time.

Requirements

Valid DZ License is required.

Clean driving abstract is required.

Commercial driving experience of a minimum of 2 years is preferred. Experience working with heavy equipment is required. Ability to work in varying weather conditions year-round, including rain, snow, extreme heat, or cold. Ability to work

. Experience in basic automotive repair is preferable.

Salary

The pay is

$20 per hour

during the

6-month probation period

. After the probation period, the pay increases to

$22 per hour

. The minimum commitment for this position is

25 scheduled work hours per week

. Any hours worked beyond 25 hours per week are compensated at $20 per hour during the probation period and $22 per hour after the probation period. The overtime is calculated based on the number of hours worked beyond 88 hours in a biweekly period.
