Lead Instructors will be required to cover a full complement of disciplines. As a Lead Instructor, you'll lead instructional sessions, help design training programs, and provide personalized feedback to players. With a focus on fostering teamwork and personal growth, you'll collaborate with other coaches and stay updated on industry best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
? Lead and supervise a team of assistant instructors during training sessions within the facility and the Ice Palace
? Conduct on-ice and off-ice training sessions, drills, and scrimmages for players
? Provide instruction and feedback to players to enhance their hockey skills and knowledge of the game, taking athletes from 0 to 1
? Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth
? Provide data driven results to player development, in a report card model, and other gamification models
? Understand and promote ZerOne service offerings, and act as Brand ambassadors well at the facility but also within their personal networks
? Ensure the safety of players during all activities and enforce camp rules and regulations
? Serve as a mentor and role model for players, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a passion for the sport of hockey
Accountabilities/Reports
Lead Instructors will report to the Manager of Products and Services for scheduling and Manager of Programs and Facility for day-to-day tasks.
Lead Instructors will be responsible for managing and delegating duties to their designated team of assistant instructors for each session, this will be established in the session schedule.
Qualifications
? Coach Certification through Hockey Canada or Skate Canada
? A minimum of three years' experience as a hockey instructor or coach
? Leadership experience on a team either as a player or coach
? 3 letters of reference from coworkers or clients in the hockey industry
Upon successful completion of the interview process, you will be asked to provide a copy of your current Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector and First Aid Certification.

? Schedules may vary, the facility is open 7 days a week, variable shifts available.
? Work will be located on-site at West Edmonton Mall Phase 1 on the 1st floor, in the ZerOne Hockeyology facility.
Part-time Positions
? Hourly pay rate will be determined by Coach or Instructor experience and qualifications given in application/interview.
? Schedules may vary, the facility is open 7 days a week, 5 hours minimum a week required.
? Currently need coverage from Thursday-Sunday, mornings and evenings.
Work will be located on-site at West Edmonton Mall Phase 1 on the 1st floor, in the ZerOne Hockeyology facility and WEM Ice Palace.
