Pacific Tutorials is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging

High School Tutor

to teach students in

Grades 9-12

across

Accounting, Financial Literacy

,

and Data Management

. The tutor will help students develop strong conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence in applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios.

This is a

contract-based, flexible role

, ideal for individuals passionate about academic support and personalized learning.

Duties

Conduct one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions for Grades 9-12 students. Teach subjects including

Accounting, Financial Literacy

,

and Data Management

, and related

financial literacy concepts

. Explain key concepts clearly and reinforce learning through examples, exercises, and real-life applications. Monitor student progress, identify areas needing improvement, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Provide guidance on assignments, tests, and exam preparation. Maintain session notes and progress updates for each student.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in

Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related fields

. Strong understanding of high school curricula (OSSD, IB, AP, or equivalent). Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to make complex concepts accessible and engaging for students.

Must have

iPad or tablet or laptop with a stylus OR ability to write on screen.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday: 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
