We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time High School Math and Science Teacher/Tutor to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a positive learning environment that encourages students to develop essential skills for academic success. Your contributions will have a direct effect on our mission of enhancing students' learning experiences.


Position Requirements:





All teacher-tutors work in-person after school and evening hours Monday - Thursday 3pm - 8pm and Saturdays 9am - 12pm. You must be available during teaching hours at least 2 days per week for a 3 - 4 hour shift during teaching hours. A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred as your students will love working with you and reliability is very important.



This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field Third and fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered Teaching certification an asset Proficiency in Math up to Grade 12 (calculus, functions and data management) Proficiency in Science up to grade 12 (chemistry, physics, and/or biology) Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.

Responsibilities (Position Details)





You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:


Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels Teaching online and in-person Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Filling in post-lesson notes Completing daily student communication updates Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
