We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hedge Trimming Specialist to join our team and support our mission.
Position Overview
The Hedge Trimming Specialist is responsible for shaping, pruning, and maintaining hedges and shrubs for residential and commercial properties. This role requires expertise in hedge care techniques, safe equipment operation, and the ability to mentor and support program participants while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Trim, shape, and maintain hedges and shrubs to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Assess hedge health and recommend proper pruning techniques and maintenance schedules
- Operate and maintain hedge trimmers, pruners, and other necessary tools
- Train, mentor, and support program participants in hedge trimming techniques and safe work practices.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices for hedge and shrub maintenance.
- Communicate with customers and management to coordinate job scheduling and completion.
- Perform snow removal as required, including shoveling and de-icing from November 1st to March 31st
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in hedge trimming, shrub maintenance, or horticulture.
- Knowledge of proper pruning techniques for various hedge and shrub species.
- Ability to work with and support individuals with mental health disabilities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
- Able to perform outdoor manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Participate in winter snow removal operations.

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
