Heavy Haul Truck Drivers

for a safety-sensitive position on a

Monday through Friday schedule

based out of our

Spruce Grove

location that is motivated, committed and wants to grow with us. Work is performed across Canada, with potential for US routes as well.

Heavy Haul Truck Drivers are responsible for a variety of tasks related to loading, off-loading, transporting and delivering over-sized loads and heavy equipment. An excellent Driver will be:

The Job



The Heavy Haul Truck Driver position will be required to work Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be required based on permitting, loads and demand.

As a Heavy Haul Truck Driver, you will be expected to:

Accurately complete all necessary paperwork including daily pre and post trip inspections, field level assessments for each job, legal logbooks, ticketing, permits and bill of ladings Be knowledgeable and compliant with legislated, company and client requirements and standards Successfully and appropriately secure loads Correctly assess and give attention to space and obstacles present Be able to pull multi-wheel trailer configurations (up to 80 wheels) Be able to safely and successfully load and off-load heavy equipment Report defects, accidents and/or violations Manage routes and routines to maximize efficiencies and meet delivery schedules Inspect vehicles for safety issues Perform daily preventative maintenance of the truck Be able to travel inter-provincially and internationally Report to various work sites as directed, on time and able to perform assigned duties Conducts all business in a professional and respectful manner

What We Need From YOU

:

A desire to make a difference and take pride in your work A minimum of 5 years of experience hauling heavy equipment, particularly with mining equipment (dozers, haul trucks, shovels and excavators) Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate over the phone and in person (proficient in English) Able to read, understand and follow legislation, policies and procedures Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical strength (ability to lift and manage 50 pounds) Be alert for long periods of time, while working alone Be able to adapt to changes in environments quickly (traffic, road conditions) Be mechanically inclined Excellent Customer Service skills

As part of our Hiring Process, YOU will be asked to

:

Provide a minimum of a Class 1 Driver's License with Air Brakes and

clean

Commercial Driver's Abstract (minimum of 5 years) Provide a Commercial Driver's Experience Letter - minimum of 3 years Provide a criminal record check Provide a current passport Complete drug and alcohol screening with a negative result Complete a fitness evaluation related specifically to your position Provide copies of current certifications (if you do not have any of the training required to be on site, we will provide it for you)including CSO/BSO.
