Position ScopeNACG are seeking Excavator Operators to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region.For this role, NACG offers a combined rate of up to $52.30/hr as well as room for growth!Where You'll Be WorkingSite: SuncorSchedule: 14x14 (14x7 Starting in December) xe2x80x93 12-hour shifts (Paid for 11.5 hours) xe2x80x93 Days and nights.Rate: $42.52/hour plus 6% Vacation Pay & 4% Statutory Holiday Pay.Overtime: Overtime is included after 8 hours in the day or after 44 hours in the week, whichever comes first.Transportation: Transportation is provided to and from site from Fort McMurray.Accommodations: Camp is not provided. • Up to a combined rate of pay of $52.80/ hour
• Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay allocated to each paycheck
• Earn up to 61 hours of overtime per 14-day rotation

The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.ResponsibilitiesWhat Youxe2x80x99ll Be Doing

• Operate various sizes and models of excavators as required to complete assigned work
• Read stakes and be able to place a grade as needed
• Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards and procedures
• Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE
• Reviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement and follow all requirements
• Complete equipment/ area walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments and ensure all equipment is running properly
• Report any necessary or anticipated repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors immediately
• Report all incidents, near misses or damage immediately.

QualificationsWhat Makes You the ONE

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating excavator
• Minimum one year experience in a mining atmosphere preferred
• Willing and able to work in soft ground conditions (Muskeg) and rip frost above shovels
• Must be able to follow instructions to ensure safe equipment operation
• Must be proficient in English, both verbal and written
• Must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else
• Ability to complete required fitness-to-work testing requirements
• CSO OR BSO Certification
• Silica Awareness Training
• Valid Class 5 Driverxe2x80x99s License with acceptable drivers abstract (pulled within 30 days)
• High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset
