Location:

21462 Clarke Road North , 3544 Dingman Drive, Offsite work required (Some offsite jobs require overnight hotel stays (Mon-Fri). Others are within driving distance and allow daily travel)

Position:

Full-Time hours, Overtime as needed

Hours of Availability:

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturdays as needed

Candidate must have access to vehicle or a reliable ride as they will need to travel to different locations from time to time.

Job Summary



Equipment Operator




The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating excavators, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other related machinery. This role also requires strong interpersonal skills, as the operator will interact with residents and company personnel in a courteous and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities



Safely operate equipment to remove contaminants from material piles. Support offsite operations by feeding materials into designated areas. Operate equipment on top of material piles to ensure proper aeration. Perform all duties in compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures.

Requirements



High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Certification in related field preferred 3+ years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator (preferred excavator operator experience and front-end loader) Must be able to work on the road at out-of-town locations. Hotels, daily per diem, mileage, and etc. is paid. Knowledge of operation of, Excavator, Front end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other pieces of heavy equipment Knowledge of equipment maintenance and storage High level of personal integrity Professional demeanor under stressful situations Confident, consistent, and decisive personality Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed Possess a valid driver's license Ability to work independently in a busy environment Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Job Duties



Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor to facilitate prompt correction or reporting Complete daily circle checks and maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service Clean, lubricate and perform other minor maintenance work Check machinery before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Accurate completion of work orders and timecards Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and operation techniques Maneuver the excavator into loading or unloading positions while following signals from loading crew. Make sure the vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned, fastened down and is secure. Supply product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up Operate hydraulic pumps, safety valves, and any other necessary mechanical components Other duties as assigned

Work Conditions



Regular Hours Monday to Friday 7:00AM- 5:00PM all year round Saturday availability may be required Overtime as required, after 44 hours per week Travel to off-site locations is required on a regular basis. Some jobs require hotel stays over night, and some are day driving distance. This varies depending on the job (daily per diem, hotel coverage, mileage, and ETC.) Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs Safety equipment will be required (steel-toed safety boots- other PPE will be provided) Hazards & elements associated with the trade (dust, noise, odour etc.) Work both indoors and outdoors Will be exposed to construction sites
