Job Title: Heavy Equipment Maintenance Scheduler
Location: TBD, Northern Canada
Base Salary: $120,000 to $130,000 per year.
Schedule: Full-time; 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off unless otherwise specified.
Accommodation: Camp accommodation with private bathrooms and rooms.
Flights Paid: Company covers flights for remote site work.

We have grown rapidly from a one-truck operation to over 100 employees and a fleet of 30 fully tooled service trucks, taking care of customers throughout Western Canada 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.Job Summary:We are seeking a motivated and career-oriented Machine Maintenance Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, ready and willing to complete tasks efficiently and safely, while maintaining a professional demeanor with co-workers and customers.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize and manage the maintenance schedule for heavy mining and construction equipment using SAP and Prometheus Pro.
  • Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintenance records to predict and prevent potential issues.
  • Ensure that the weekly asset management schedules are communicated and distributed to all those affected.
  • Coordinate shutdowns with other departments if scheduled events affect them.
  • Meet with Superintendent and Supervisor to review backlog commitments.
  • Ensure that all necessary resources are available before scheduling a job.
  • Generate a weekly work schedule and maintain an accurate backlog list for execution during \xe2\x80\x9cwindows of opportunity\xe2\x80\x9d.
  • Update equipment history and component tracking.
  • Collaborate with Planners, Supervisors, Crew members/Technicians, and Reliability Engineers on equipment improvement activities.
  • Ensure all department work is performed safely and complies with local, state/provincial, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Update work order statuses to reflect parts readiness.
  • Follow mine site procurement procedures to obtain materials and coordinate closely with purchasing and warehouse personnel.
  • Aid the planning team in creating and refining parts BOMs for standard and PM jobs.
  • Perform any other responsibilities related to the Scheduler role as required or assigned by the department head.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in the mining industry is a must. Demonstrated experience in heavy equipment maintenance planning.
  • Proficiency in using SAP and Prometheus Pro for maintenance scheduling.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Caterpillar equipment is a must.
  • Experience working in a culturally diverse environment is an asset.
  • Strong skills with Windows and Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word. Familiarity with MS Project is a strong advantage.
  • Trade Certification or equivalent professional work experience and education with maintenance work routines.
