The Healthcare Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the operations of healthcare facilities, ensuring that they run efficiently and effectively. Duties
Oversee daily operations of the healthcare facility, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
Manage budgets and financial reports to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and patient care.
Implement and maintain efficient office management practices, including scheduling, record keeping, and patient flow.
Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
Coordinate with medical staff to streamline processes related to patient care and administrative support.
Utilize EMR and EHR systems effectively for managing patient information.
Develop policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency while ensuring high-quality patient care.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize clinic performance.
Skills
Strong knowledge of fiscal management principles, including budgeting and financial reporting.
Experience in medical office management or administration is essential; dental office experience is a plus.
Supervising experience with a focus on team development and performance management.
Familiarity with Jane software
Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
Background in nursing or acute care settings is advantageous.
Knowledge of managed care principles and utilization management practices.
Experience with JCAHO standards is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills for interacting with staff, patients, and external stakeholders. This role requires a proactive approach to healthcare management while fostering an environment that prioritizes patient satisfaction and operational excellence.
