Preparing and packaging instruments for shipment to Central Processing for sterilization. Assists in updating and maintaining resource materials.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceHigh school graduation or equivalent.Knowledge of filing and record keeping.Skills and knowledge of the Sterile Supply and Processing Aid course.Skills And Abilities

• Ability to work independently, organizing and coordinating own work schedule.
• Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of the policies and procedures for maintaining asepsis and processing sterile supplies.
• Ability to maintain, stock and order supplies.
• Communication skills including collaboration and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of a variety of equipment used in community health.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Skills to do or ensure minor repairs of equipment used in community health.
• Good knowledge of suppliers and the items they carry.
• Must possess a valid British Columbia Drivers License and have a vehicle available for work.
