Overview: The Health & Safety Analyst performs essential functions for continuously improving the country’s health and safety program by performing statistical analysis while overseeing, maintaining and improving health and safety programs and systems. Responsibilities:

  • Collects and analyzes data used for compiling company safety statistics and trends.
  • Maintains reports as required for internal reporting.
  • Provide technical support in the development and maintenance of all H&S program software and databases.
  • Assists in preparing required reports and presentations on injuries and illnesses and review safe work procedures, policies, and training courses.
  • Oversees reporting within the internal health and safety reporting system (SAI) by validating entries by others, data entry of information from other systems (SAP), and following up to ensure ontime activity completion.
  • Provides technical support for users of our internal health and safety reporting system including troubleshooting errors, escalation of issues, and rollout of new requirements.
  • Organizes and maintains the digital filing system for Health and Safety documents including version control, publishing, formatting and classification of documents.
  • Creates requisitions and ensures timely review and processing of invoices within SAP.
  • Creates country health and safety communications including daily incident summaries.
  • Works closely with the Health and Safety team on new initiatives and supports other health and safety systems as required.
Qualifications:
Education & Work Experience
  • 2+ years experience in an analyst position
  • Post secondary degree in mathematics, statistics, business, economics, health and safety, is an asset
Knowledge & Skills
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Mail / Sheets / Documents / Shared Drive management / LumApps intranet / Google Data Studio)
  • Advanced knowledge in either Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel including creation of formulas and queries
  • Experience with SAP or comparable enterprise resource planning system
  • Ability to prioritize, summarize and visualize data analysis for senior management
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and ability to take initiative
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking and recognizing patterns
